Feature & Follow #23: My Go to Genre

Feature & Follow button

Feature & Follow is hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read where each host will have their own Feature blog to show off more new blogs!

I don't really have a go to genre being a mood reader and all. However, I guess if I'm feeling really happy, I'd want to read an exciting fantasy book! If I'm feeling down, I'd want to read something to cheer me up which would be a cute contemporary. If I'm angry, I'd probably reread something I love or some dystopian to make myself feel better hahaha~

Now I'd like to share Ripple's happy, sad and angry looks ;)
Ripple's happy look
"Is that food?!!!"
Ripple's sad look
"Can I please have more treats?"
Ripple's angry look
"Grrr, give me all your food!"

What is your go to genre when you're happy, sad or angry and thank you for stopping by!

  1. Such a cute kitty!

I am like you, I don't have a go to genre because I love too many of them but my mood definitely has an impact on what I want to read.

Have a lovely weekend Eileen and a wonderful Christmas!!

  2. It's funny that you say this because I say that I don't have a go to genre because I'm not a mood reader. I'm a planner so it doesn't matter how I'm feeling, I will read the same book.

Happy FF and Happy Holidays! Old follower.

  3. Nice! I don't really have any go to genres. I love my paranormal genre so if I am in a mood and want to read I just go with whatever book I was reading!

And seriously...your cat is just too cute! My grandfather's cat that is still in our care is just so evil...though she has been warming up to me recently, but still gets moody like don't touch me or you won't be getting back those fingers!

    Here's my Follow Friday

    Have a GREAT day!

    1. Lol Ripple can be like that too but mostly he just ignores you if he's feeling moody. I know you love your paranormals! I need to read more of them~

  4. I agree, Eileen! I don't exactly have a go-to genre, I usually just read whatever I feel like or whatever new book I recently borrowed/purchased and haven't read yet. Your cat's face PERFECTLY relays what I'm feeling when it comes to books. No joke. Ripple is adorable! I would love to have a cat, but unfortunately my dad's allergic. But anyways, great post:)

  5. Love your cat pics! I think my go-to genre in any mood is YA contemporary - it's just where I feel most comfortable, although I do like to branch out to other genres.

  6. Ripple makes me want to get a cat. (Although I'm that person who would run a mile in fear when she sees a cat on the street). ;-; I'm a mood reader too, and I read whatever I feel like reading at the moment so I suppose I don't have a go-to genre either! Sometimes, I'd be reading a book and then my mood would change and then I'd have to pick up another book.

    1. Awww thanks :) Stray cats can be really friendly too! I do that too. If my mood changes, I switch a book but I always go back and finish~
